The Milan UK Group was set up in Surrey, UK in 1998 to provide IT solutions using the 4th Generation outsourcing model, which we dubbed as the DualShore model.   Simply put - Milan Solutions was formed to deliver very high quality solutions to UK and European clients, at near offshore prices.  This was a tall order, but has mostly been achieved. 

Milan Solutions today has enormous experience in programme and project management and has refined the DualShore model of project delivery that gives clients on-shore managerial interface with low-cost off-shore advantage.  We aimed to fill a gap in the market, where many UK companies were dissatisfied with their IT and wanted better value from their investments, outsourcing and in particular the offshore experience.

We are a pure UK company and serve many UK customers.  Our first USP here is that we have access to a vast variety of skills via our partnership model.  This means that we don't have to creatively stretch (or lie about) our capabilities.  Second, our model enables us to do some of the work offshore, and we pass on these savings to our customers. For customers not interested in Outsourcing - there is not a hint of this... they deal with a UK company, get UK quality solutions (often better) at a price no other pure UK company can compete with!

While we are more horizontally integrated than vertically, we have joint venture relationships with highly reliable development companies in India for greater control on deliveries.

Milan Solutions' DualShore Model

Our DualShore strategy means that we use a blended UK/offshore team to deliver solutions. The UK team looks after the client interface, project management, solution requirements (and very often the design) and the QA. The offshore team carries out detailed design, execution and testing, to pre-agreed QA standards. We work with carefully selected local and offshore partners who each bring specialist skills to the table.

This means that we leverage the strengths of both locations and still offer superb value. This fit for purpose approach means that each project is evaluated and the resource split is established accordingly. Thus many projects will lend themselves to a totally local solution and some to a mostly offshore solution. The vast majority of projects however, can benefit from this DualShore approach.
